weekend and summer programming. This year, students have already experienced activities such as white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, rappelling, rock climbing, backpacking, orienteering, and learning indigenous survival skills. All activities are saturated with cultural and family values and are focused on reconnecting youth to the Natural world. With plans of expanding into several more local sites over the next year, NIYLP hopes to include more opportunities for our students to explore through regular site visits. NIYLP embraces the challenge of moving forward and empowering the lives of an increasing number of Native youth within our community.
